Project management requires a combination of enthusiasm, energy and high level of professionalism.
Control of the implementation of projects and programs, both on a state and regional level is one of the most important elements of a large part of efforts in connection with the project management which allows to clearly identify the problem and its reasons in real time.
What kind of activities does the Agency promote for this purpose?
First, it identifies and studies the factors which prevent from the implementation of projects and programs at all stages of their implementation.
Secondly, it evaluates the efficiency, studies the compliance of the planned project parameters, reveals deviations from estimated figures, identifies the causes and factors affecting their implementation.
Thirdly, it identifies unprofitable and low-efficiency investment projects.
Fourthly, it draws conclusions and submits proposals to the relevant bodies of state and economic management on what kind of immediate actions can be taken to eliminate them.
In so doing the Agency contributes to the increase of state revenues through an effective implementation of investment and infrastructure projects, encourages the state enterprises to be highly involved in the process of improving corporate governance and promotes the use of state assets to attract investments.
The Agency also investigates whether the state property is used effectively submitting proposals for implementation of best management practices and financial instruments.
The essential point to remember is that the Agency’s activities apply only to national and regional development programmes and projects funded by the State budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan and state designated funds (or Fund for financing state development programs of the Republic of Uzbekistan), foreign credits, loans and grants attracted by the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at the expense of enterprises - economic entities with the state participation in the authorized capital of more than 50 percent and economic entities subordinated to the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
